I’m not an avid reader, I often admire those who carry a book with them and take every chance they can to read, or those who meet at monthly book clubs. When I do read, I’m the type that binges….that is IF the first two pages grab me. If I’m bored by the second page, the book gets put in the book shelf most likely never to be picked up again. However, when I’m binging on a book, the world can go by and I’m oblivious to everything around me. I received The Girl He Used To Know, written by New York Times Bestselling Author, Tracey Garvis Graves and had a three hour binge through half of it and then did a late night into the wee hours binge the second night.

By now you know that I was consumed within the first few pages. You will grow to love Annika and envy her for the magical love she found in Jonathan while waiting patiently to know why they parted!

It Hit A Nerve
I won’t spoil it but in the near end, it hit home for me and I’m sure it will for thousands of others. The very feelings that were written word by word brought back minute by minute memories for me. I couldn’t stop my eyes from filling up with tears and streaming down my face. At one point, I would wipe my tears and quickly try to read a few more lines before I was blinded again by the pool of tears in my eyes. It was painful to get through and I wanted to scream to Annika and jump in the book to help her find her way through it all.

I’m not going to make a statement whether it was a good or horrible ending because once you’re there, I would have spoiled it for you.
I will say, I’m hoping Tracey Garvis Graves brings Annika back to see where she went from there. What happened in her life after those life changing events?
