Is There Ever A Good Time To Pop The Question?

April 19, 2018 Rachel Ferrucci Leave a Comment

Let’s face it guys, there’s a lot of pressure on the so-called “perfect” wedding proposal. It seems that we have a lot of pressure to make it perfect, either by doing it on top of a mountain, or by falling from the sky. Before you consider the way to do it, you need to think about the best time to pop the question. Is there a good time to ask your significant other to marry you, and how do you know it’s time?

Check In With Yourself First

You need to ask yourself if you are truly ready. You might have bought a ring or not, but does this reflect what you actually think and feel? We can all feel pressured into popping the question, but you need to take a moment to think about what being married to your partner is going to be like, and not the act of proposing. If you feel that being married your partner is, indeed, a thrill, then you sound ready.

Do You Have The Money?

This might be a stupid question. But some people are so keen to pop the question, that they sell themselves short by buying a ring that doesn’t match the sentiment. This can put a downer on things, especially if you know in your heart of hearts that it’s not just so. However, there is no such thing as the perfect proposal, but if you have something pressing, especially when it comes to financial issues, there might be ways around it, but it’s much better, especially if your partner’s got their heart set on a specific reason, that you save up for it.

Pick Up On The Hints

This is probably the easiest thing to gauge. But, as a man, hints aren’t always our specialty! Pick up on the verbal and non-verbal cues that are being sent in your general direction. Things like a wedding magazine being subtly laid on the coffee table, or the communal laptop showing a website like 77 Diamonds as soon as you open up Chrome are all things to keep an eye on. Luckily, hints are easy to spot, but if you’re not getting any of these, the talk of wedding rings is usually a sure-fire hint that you’re not taking the information on board!

Choose The Season

Every woman has their idea of the perfect proposal, but this isn’t something that we can have much control over, unless we are very rich, but the one thing you do have control over is the time of year. It can be difficult to pick a good time, especially if there is an anniversary of a sensitive event. And while you might be ready to pop the question, it might be best to lay off for the moment, until your partner appears truly ready.

The idea of the best time to pop the question can be a minefield, to say the least, but once you get this out of the way, you will realize how easy it was, especially in light of preparing for the wedding, and everything the comes after it, including fatherhood! Get ready!

You’ll find a replica David in the square but going to Accademia Gallery in Florence and seeing this breathtaking statue by Michelangelo is 100% worth it, whether you like art or not. His right leg has a tree stump which balances the entire statue.
