Taking care of your hair can seem like fighting a losing battle. Having good hair is subjective, and a lot of people define it as different things. There’s a lot of problems to go round when it comes to hair. However, a lot of them are plenty avoidable as long as you know what to do.

You Don’t Have Enough Hair For A Particular Do

 

At some point in our lives, we all had long hair. Whether as a toddler, child, or even now as an adult, we embraced having long strands on our heads. Yet a lot of us don’t still have those desired lengths, and thus there sometimes isn’t enough hair for trying out a hairstyle or two.

 

If you’ve practiced and found there isn’t enough hair on your head to go around, try some tape in hair extensions. They aren’t permanent and can be removed at any time. They can also be coloured easily, meaning your perfect pixie dream is available to you too.

 

Your Hair Keeps Falling Out Of A Bun

 

Doing the perfect updo and then having it fall into a messy bun at best is one of the most frustrating things to do with hair. Buns are so practical and easy to do, but they do take some finesse if you want to throw them together in 5 minutes and still have them look designer.

 

If you do like a messy bun, but you’re still unsatisfied with how it looks, or there are too many flyaways, try knotting it. Separating your hair into sections and then tying them together is great at getting a chic look that’s still unrefined. Secure it with as many bobby pins as you need.

 

You can even use a headband as a sneaky trick to hoister a low bun in place. Roll your hair over a headband to keep it in place longer than bobby pins could. And remember, a hair doughnut always works well for both long and short hair, and is a great template to start working with.

 

Your Hair Is Dry

 

A lot of us have dry hair from time to time, but it usually isn’t serious. This is probably a sign you need to change your diet a little, and drink more water. Water is so important to healthy functioning in all areas of the body that it really is the answer here.

 

You can also change your shampoo as a preventative measure, as some conditioning treatments are too heavy and others aren’t heavy enough. After a good wash, make sure you use some heat protectant before blow drying. This saves the hair from breaking and burning, and is also just good practice.

 

Don’t wash you hair constantly as you need the oils to stay in place, and your scalp will overproduce if you keep washing them away. Twice a week is a good number.

 

Try out some tips and tricks, and always ask your stylist for advice you know is safe and will work.

When I found out I needed surgery, my 1st thought wasn’t the procedure. It was the fear of being handed opioids again with no real choice. After my last surgery, opioids were the only option I had, my insurance didn’t cover the non-opioid alternatives I specifically asked for. That showed me how quickly exposure can happen.
