The Perfect Wedding Day: Don’t Overlook The Small Stuff

July 21, 2017 Rachel Ferrucci Leave a Comment

If you find yourself counting down the days, hours and minutes to your big day, you are not alone. Thousands of blissfully happy couples plan their perfect day every year. There are many common aspects to a wedding day that are non-negotiable: the ceremony, the celebration, the music and the food. Your ceremony may be a short, intimate affair on the beach at sunset or it could be a fabulously extroverted and busy event in a marquee at a five-star hotel. Each wedding day is unique to the happy bride and groom. The planning can be stressful as you try to ensure that the best day of your life goes without a hitch. If anything, it’ll be the little things that slip under your radar, and you may only remember them when it’s too late. Take a look at these important aspects of any wedding that shouldn’t be overlooked.

  1. Table Centerpieces

As you are organizing the perfect three-course wedding breakfast, it is easy to forget the decorations on the tables. If you have a color scheme, make sure that your table centerpieces echo this theme. If you are getting married on a ranch, select pieces that mirror your surroundings like a small display of barley or bark placemats. Don’t forget the cutlery and the glassware. Check with your caterers or the venue that these are provided and ask them if there is any choice. The eating experience at your wedding is vital to the smooth running of your special day.

  1. Favors

Deciding on wedding favors will, no doubt, be way down on your list of priorities. You need to select your dress, get it altered and sort out the bridesmaids dresses. Whatever you do, don’t forget the wedding favors. These are vital little gifts to show your appreciation to those friends of yours who have played significant roles on your wedding day. For the maid of honor why not select a name plate necklace. With the ability to personalize the piece of jewelry, you are ensuring that your gift shows that extra bit of appreciation. For the best man, why not opt for cuff links or tie pins to carry on the jewelry theme.

  1. Transport

If you and your fiance’ are opting for the traditional wedding, then you will be arriving separately at the church. Ensure that your timings are accurate and that you have wedding transport arranged. This could be the classic vintage car, a horse and carriage or a hot air balloon. The possibilities for quirky and grand entrances are endless. If you booked the transport six months ago, call the week before your big day to ensure that the booking is still on their system and that they’ll be there to pick you up on time.

  1. Bridal party gifts

We should thank our wedding party by giving them something special for being a part of our day. Finding the perfect gift could be hard because we all have so much “stuff”. A personalized tote that they can use daily, beach day, or as a travel bag will surely be loved by all.

You’ll find a replica David in the square but going to Accademia Gallery in Florence and seeing this breathtaking statue by Michelangelo is 100% worth it, whether you like art or not. His right leg has a tree stump which balances the entire statue.
