When you spend a significant part of your day on your commute to and from work, you can often feel as if you’re wasting a lot of time. And in some ways you are. If it weren’t for the fact that you had to get to work in some way, you could be utilizing that time in a much better way. But, instead of being bored on your commute and wishing the time away, why not try to liven it up? There are so many ways to spice up your morning travel especially. So if you want to start enjoying your commute a little more, give one of these ideas a try.

Try New Transport

 

The first thing you can think about doing is trying new transport. Whether you take the car or get on public transport, you can shake up the journey by swapping the kind of transport you use every now and again. You can even find that there is healthier ideas to try, like walking or riding a bicycle instead. You could even try out an electric scooter if you want to get there a little quicker, but not be cramped in a vehicle.

 

Take A Book

 

If you do use public transport, you might find yourself spending a lot of time using your phone, reading the news, and generally getting lost in a maze of useless information. But that can get very boring after a while. Instead, why not think about taking a book? If you love to read, your morning commute can be a great way to get some extra pages in. And if you only ready sporadically, it could be the way to get back into reading regularly.

 

Ride With A Friend

 

You’ve also got the option to ride with a friend. Not only does that mean you could think about doing a car scheme every now and again, but you could also always look at transport services on somewhere like Ridester. Then, you can compare travel choices, get discounts and even find a buddy to ride with if you’re looking to save on your transport costs.

 

Pack A Snack

 

If it’s time that you want to save, you might want to think about enjoying a little breakfast or coffee on the go. If your morning commute takes 30 minutes or more, why not stay in bed for that little bit longer and grab your breakfast when you’re walking out of the door? There are so many healthy on-the-go breakfast ideas that you can eat while you’re traveling to spice up the journey and get more sleep!

 

Swot Up

 

And finally, you might want to use your morning commute time to learn a little more. There are so many interesting podcasts available, that you’re sure to find a subject that interests you and helps to broaden your horizons. The best part? You can listen on public transport or in your car if you’re driving yourself. It’s also the perfect time and place to try and learn a new language if it’s something you’ve always wanted to do.
