Bored of the same old beach vacations? Maybe you live in a warm part of the world and want to experience something new. As nice as it is relaxing on sandy shores, sometimes it’s nice to do things a little differently. Instead of packing your bikinis grab your winter warmers and head for one of these epic snowy destinations. Along with plenty to do you’ll see incredible scenery, and have a completely different experience to any tropical trip you’ve ever been on! 
France
There are still lots places in France you can experience snow, right through to early May. The Espace Killy ski area in Tignes is open for the next seven weeks and is a good bet if you want to be sure you’ll get snow. Val Thorens is another good option, This is Europe’s highest major resort, and gives you one of the best chances of snow right the way through until late in the spring. View pretty villages nestled amongst snow capped mountains. Stay in a luxurious chalet, and spend your days skiing, snowboarding or tobogganing. Alternatively, you could just go sightseeing and take in the spectacular views!
Greenland
As the most wintery place on the planet, Greenland is a good option if you want some snow. You can see some of the most incredible marine species in the world, view whales, polar bears, and seals along the coast or even have a ride in a sleigh pulled by huskies. Not to mention seeing the mind-blowing sights- mountains, glaciers, polar ice caps. You could even take a dip in hot springs, a fascinating natural phenomenon where the springs remain at the perfect bathtub temperature despite the fact you’re in an Arctic region! You could go arctic caving, visit the Greenland Ice Sheet in Nuuk or an Arctic Wonderland Tour in Tasiilaq.
America (USA)
One of the best things about visiting America is that every state is like a mini country. Each has it’s own unique feel, foods, traditions and climate. Some of the snowier states include Montana, North and South Dakota and Colorado. Along with skiing, you will find snowmobile rentals near Vail Colorado, as well as numerous gorgeous national parks including Rocky Mountain, Black Canyon, and Mesa Verde. You could also visit Denver, this is one of the snowiest places in the US over March and April.
Finland
Finland, home to the real life Lapland is about as festive as it gets. In northern Lapland, the snow doesn’t start melting until May, so you have plenty of time to book a trip and experience it’s snowy goodness. It’s another fantastic spot to view the Northern Lights, plus you have various snow safaris, ski tours- there’s even a snow village. Now is an excellent time to go, because while it’s still snowy in many places in the region, the weather isn’t quite as harsh as it is in the heart of winter.
