Pretty Practical Fashion

You know what? Practicality isn’t boring anymore and something that only our Moms make use of – it’s something that, in this modern day, we are finding to be a necessity. When incorporated with fashion or trying to keep up with the latest trends, this can be a bit of a nuisance. It’s like we need something to keep all of our gadgets in – phones, tablets, portable computers amongst other things – but don’t want to have to haggle with the price of looking like a dork at school. But when you’ve got your own family, you can’t help but have to carry around a lot of stuff, else you’ll face being left in dire straits when the inevitable goes wrong.

So what can we use or put into practice for practical fashion?

Hair Accessories

There are so many great hairstyles available online through tutorials nowadays which can look great and still be versatile enough to deal with family life. You want something that realistically isn’t going to get in your way, keep away from your face but still look great. You could try something like a Dutch braid, which is basically an inside-out plait which is super easy to and quick to do once you know how. It looks like you will have spent loads of time doing it, when it could actually turn out to be the go-to hairstyle of habit once you get started. Scrunchies are coming back into style, and if you ever dispute these being practical for keeping your hair all together then, quite frankly, you’re wrong. They are also exceedingly good for keeping on hand to do hairstyles with your little ones should they need an emergency band.

Bags

Oh, the practicalities of bags! We want to aim small, but small isn’t good when we need to carry around essentials to get you through the day. If you want to think tiny yet practical, cast your mind to bumbags or fanny packs which can sit on your person all day holding the more valuable stuff that you need to hand instantly, such as cash or your phone. They can come in a variety of patterns now, so you can bet your bottom dollar that a glittery, striped or American Flag fanny pack, will be available for you should that sort of style tickle your fancy.

Coats

Something that can keep you warm, comfortable and dry is something that you need to look for in a coat. Luckily, trenches and macs are the traditional classics that will never fall out of style. Have a scoot around online on sites like ASOS and boohoo so you can pick the color and cut that will suit your everyday life. Being a parent doesn’t mean that you have to skimp on fashion – you just have to adapt it so that it can conform with the wants and needs of other people as well as yourself. There will come a time when you don’t have to consider this, but until then, embrace it.

You’ll find a replica David in the square but going to Accademia Gallery in Florence and seeing this breathtaking statue by Michelangelo is 100% worth it, whether you like art or not. His right leg has a tree stump which balances the entire statue.
