Cute Bedroom Ideas For Boys

January 31, 2017 Rachel Ferrucci Leave a Comment

Your child’s room isn’t just the place where they sleep- but somewhere they can play, imagine, read and learn. It’s somewhere they can feel safe, and their retreat at the end of each day. So when it comes to putting it all together, you will want to get it right! Once they’ve outgrown their nursery and it’s time for a proper bedroom you can really have fun with it. As well as being functional, you will also want it to look aesthetically pleasing too and somewhere that reflects their interests. Here are some of the things to consider when you’re putting together your little boy’s bedroom. Batman bedroom

Choose a Color Scheme

Your first step when you’re putting the room together is to choose a color scheme and/or theme. Decide on this before you start buying items, that way everything will tie together nicely at the end. Since kids grow up so quickly, one way you could go about it is to paint the room in a very neutral color. Plain white, cream or light gray walls give you the most versatility. Then pick an accent shade and buy curtains, rugs, art and other accessories in this color. That way you can simply change up the accessories as your child ages, without having to completely make over the room each time. You can update the room to suit their age and preferences without breaking the bank, and they’re not left with a space that feels childish or outdated every few years.

Buy a Bed

Since children don’t weigh much, you might feel like you can cut costs by going for a less expensive mattress. However, it’s always worth going for the best you can afford. Sleep is so important for our health, but children especially need it for growth and development. A super comfy mattress will help them get the best rest possible and support their body without creating painful pressure points. Buying the mattress is the tricky part, but the bed itself is easier. You can find cute cabin beds for boys in different styles, which you could match to the theme of the room. Or you could just go with a wooden bed or a divan if you wanted to keep it simple. There are plenty of online décor stores available for everyone to find exactly what’s suits your needs. I’ve found many items that fit my style and great ideas while shopping.

Think About Storage and Layout

Organizing the furniture to make the best use of the space is essential. Room on the floor for them to play with toys is useful for younger kids, or somewhere to put a desk is useful as they get older, so they can use their computer and do homework. You could use a room planner online to play around with the layout to see how everything looks without having to physically move things. If space is an issue, finding the right storage will make a huge difference. Let’s face it, kids generally have a lot of stuff, so they need a place to put it all! Chests of drawers, bookshelves, wall mounted shelves, and under- bed, storage are all options to consider. Regularly decluttering and throwing away items you child no longer uses will help to maximize the space too.

You’ll find a replica David in the square but going to Accademia Gallery in Florence and seeing this breathtaking statue by Michelangelo is 100% worth it, whether you like art or not. His right leg has a tree stump which balances the entire statue.
