Dreams Do Come True: Planning The Perfect Princess Party

Whether the party is for a notable birthday, even though every birthday’s magnificent when you’re a kid, such as that first milestone of turning five or celebrating double figures, organized as a treat after doing super well at school or to reassure her of your love after the recent birth of a sibling princess parties are very cool!

Think Pink

Now’s not the time to think about sexist colors, negative stereotypes or reinforcing outdated gender values. Pink and purple are fantastic colors, and most little girls love them from Barbie pink, a color in its own right, to pastel violets, and deep mauves. Decorate the castle, or your home, with pink balloons, silver streamers, pink tablecloths, pink vases with pink, glittery flowers or paper butterflies in and don’t forget pink paper cups and plates. To create the look of a castle, make or hire cardboard cut out turrets, draw the design then spray paint it pink and decorate the top with fake jewels. Really, the look you’re going for is if a large pink Bon Bon exploded and showered you all with its rose colored insides.

Collect Magical Charms

Kids love little toys, and little girls adore shiny plastic things like fake necklaces, fairy wands, and even gaudy rings. A few days before the party, visit your nearest dollar store and pop everything remotely jewelry like, even hair clips and slides will do, into your basket. The more charm like and trinkety the better. Don’t forget the birthday girl or special young lady the party’s for and make sure you buy her a beautiful tiara, wand and even Cinderella style shoes to make her feel like real royalty.

Be The Belle Of The Ball

Girls love dressing up so let them know that they’re welcome to come in their best party dress, princess costume or even beaded or sequin skirt whatever they feel prettiest in. For a surprise birthday treat go and order her a truly stunning party dress, you can even get child-size sugary pink ball dresses from the ooh la la couture selection that she’ll just adore. Pair it with some glittery wedges, cute converse or even posh party shoes and she’ll definitely look like a queen for the day!

Crown That Cake

When it comes to the menu, have fun and be creative by using a mix of familiar fairy tales. You could serve pink Tinkerbell cupcakes or fairy cakes. Snow White inspired mini apple and blackberry pies, and Ariel themed seafood platter of tempura prawns, mini fish cakes, and tuna sandwich boats. Obviously, do check for any allergies first and then pop them alongside regular kids party food like sausage rolls, ice cream and jello. For an extra special finishing touch create a marble colored birthday cake, coat it in pink sugary icing and sprinkle on edible glitter before placing an edible sugar crown, tiara or ring on top.

Hire Professional Princesses

If you want to go all out, it’s possible to hire a fantastic team of kids party entertainers. They’ll all arrive in full princess costumes, have little gifts and goodies for all the girls, perform makeovers, read stories and show everyone how to be the perfect Disney Princess.

You’ll find a replica David in the square but going to Accademia Gallery in Florence and seeing this breathtaking statue by Michelangelo is 100% worth it, whether you like art or not. His right leg has a tree stump which balances the entire statue.
