Getting rid of stubborn fat can be one of the hardest things to do if you’re on a fitness journey or just trying to improve your confidence and self-esteem. However, there are many proven ways you can do it. Take a look at these methods and see how you feel about them:

High Intensity Interval Training

High intensity interval training, or HIIT, is one of the best exercises out there for blasting fat. Rather than steady state cardio that you do for a long time, you really hit it hard here to get your metabolism revved up. The great thing about HIIT is that you can do 20 minutes of it rather than 40-60 minutes. All you do is work as hard as you can for around 30 seconds, then rest for 30 seconds to a minute. You may not be able to do many intervals at first, and you may need a longer rest period, but that’s fine. So long as you’re working as hard as you can during the intervals, you’ll make progress! Try to improve each session, and aim for 3 sessions per week. You’ll soon see huge results!

Building More Muscle

The more muscle we build, the better our bodies get at burning fat. This is why training with long cardio sessions is an awful idea – too much cardio may burn calories,  but it also burns muscle. This means your body slows down the rate at which it burns fat at rest, and you lose some of your shape. To build muscle, start doing resistance training. You can use your bodyweight, but it’s a good idea to move onto heavy weights afterwards for better results.

When I found out I needed surgery, my 1st thought wasn’t the procedure. It was the fear of being handed opioids again with no real choice.
