When it comes to technology gadgets, I sometimes feel like I can not keep up. There is always something cool popping up and it always seems like I need it….. or at least want it. I put together a list of fall must have tech gadgets that I may just use as my list for Santa.
- Days are shorter in the fall and winter which makes waking in the morning to darkness a norm for many. Trying to find the snooze or off button can be a challenge with lots of fumbling and crashing clocks to the floor. The Ginkgo Gravity Clock is rubberized with LED lighting that switches off when it’s quiet. A light touch to the top will engage the snooze, tip the clock over on its side to shut it off, displays time, date and temperature alternately and comes in cool colors.
- Fall is a time when you break out with your fuzzy socks to keep your piggies warm. When Jack Frost makes his way to your feet you may want to attach a heater. Digitsole is the first connected, interactive, water-resistant, heated insole that can be controlled via your smartphone. Let me repeat… HEATED!!! If you are one to add those warmers that only work for an hour, then this is for you. It also tracks how many steps you take during the day.
- Fall is a great time to get away and there may be some plants that you needed to bring inside as well as yearly house plants. Wouldn’t it be great to come home to plants that were not dead because your neighbor forgot to come over and water them? Your plant worries are over, Parrot H2O and the Parrot Pot will take care of your plants while you are gone. These items do not have a release date yet but keep an eye on it.
- This one I could not help sharing with you. It did make me giggle but I’m sure that many will want this. The Belty- a motorized belt that adjusts to your body when you sit down, or extends itself as your gut expands during dinner. Belty can also track your waistline and measure your activity. I don’t think I need this to tell me when I’m ummm….expanding, that’s usually when I undo a button.
- Fall is when kids are in full swing at school. The Sleep Number SleepIQ for kids tracks their sleep, has a remote control night light, and alerts you when they decide to get up. There’s a safety-conscious under bed light that comes on when they get up. This can also be perfect for the transition child from toddler bed to big kid bed. It all syncs with an iOS app.
- Every fall through winter I turn into Michael Jackson, well not exactly but I do wear one glove. It seems my mouse hand is freezing after just a short time on the computer. The HeatedMouse will keep your hand warm while working or playing on the computer. This has been out for a while but is worthy of the fall list.
- The air may be chilly but sitting by a fire on a fall day or night can be a fun time. The SyrenPro weather-resistant outdoor wireless Bluetooth speaker with TrueWireless Stereo pairing gives big sound.
