Add in comfier items
There is something about comfy items around the home, making it so much more enjoyable and comforting. Cozy up on the couch or in bed with lots of blankets, pillows, and a good movie or a book. Adding flannel sheets, full down comforters, extra blankets (maybe even a heated blanket, or heated mattress pad), and lots of pillows will definitely keep you warm and cozy. Cuddling in bed or on the couch with lots of blankets does not sound like a bad way to spend a weekend, in my opinion, and the comfy items that I listed above will make your home much more enjoyable now and with the cold weather headed our way shortly.
Open the window covers
I’m not sure about you, but my mood is dependent on a lot of things and one of them is definitely how much sunlight I see each day. The best way to enjoy the sun is by being outside, but when it comes to the inside of our home (because let’s be real: we are inside more often than out!), we have a choice to make it dark or make it bright. I highly recommend opening the window covers! Pull back your curtains, open your blinds, and remove the window films, if you have any. Let in the natural light and make your home open for the sun to enter! You feel feel better and you will enjoy your home much more.
Seal off your home from pests
If you have never had any pest problems, this probably didn’t even cross your mind, but as soon as you do have any wildlife issues (fingers crossed that you won’t), you will have wished that you would have done this sooner. Having a completely sealed house is a definite perk to future homeowners because they know that they will hopefully never have to deal with rats, flying squirrels, etc. in their home and attic.
