Key West Hotels have some of the most amazing places to stay. We were fortunate to stay in an amazing hotel enabling us to enjoy a taste of tropical living at the legendary Casa Marina, A Waldorf Astoria Resort. Nestled along the southern edge of the island – spanning more than 1,100 feet of private beach – their modern accommodations provide a luxurious hideaway for travelers. Although there are many reasons, I’m sharing the 5 Reasons To Stay At Casa Marina In Key West.
Things to do at Casa Marina Hotel
1. Do Nothing
When staying in any of the Key West Hotels, you can literally do nothing! During our stay in the Keys, we enjoyed a delicious breakfast then grabbed a coffee and a mimosa and headed to the private beach. We were fortunate to stay at the Casa Marina, where a member of the hotel met us in the sand to set up our chairs, umbrella, and towels. They checked back with us frequently to see if there was anything they can get us. In between all the pampering you can also dip in the bath like water or pool to cool off in between the pampering:
Here is an example of doing nothing:
10:00 am- fruit served
12:00 pm- An afternoon fruity drink
2:00 pm- a popsicle to cool off
4:00 pm- cool cucumbers for your eyes and a cool towel
Lunch is served at the beach to make it a true day of doing nothing.
2. Toes In The Sand Dinner
While there are plenty of restaurants in the Keys, we enjoyed Casa Marina’s signature “toes-in-the-sand” dining at Sun Experience oceanfront. There is limited seating with a refined menu featuring daily, fresh-catch specials. Be sure to call ahead of you want to go and make a reservation.
3. Jet Ski Tour At Barefoot Billy’s
Add adventure to your get-a-way and head over to Barefoot Billy’s and take a a two hour 27 mile jet ski tour around the island from your beach on the Atlantic Ocean to the Golf of Mexico and back again.
4. Couple’s Massage – Spa al Mare
Another benefit of staying in one of the Key West hotels is a number of them have spas on site. We enjoyed the ocean breeze as we got rejuvenated at Spa al Mare. From Swedish to Deep Tissue, Aromatherapy to Reflexology – this elegant spa provides certified therapists who will transport you to a world of deep relaxation.
5. Attention To Detail
The minute you step foot on the Casa Marina property, you will feel as though you stepped in the world of luxury. Smiling faces greet you and everyone is more than willing to take the time to answer questions. Your room has everything you need and if you packed quick and forgot something, the staff will make sure you have it. Sometimes it was as if I had a little bell because someone was there exactly when I needed them yet they weren’t smothering you. Want to go shopping or a night out the town? Someone will help you plan it all out including transportation. I do have to give a shout out to Dan, he totally went above and beyond and a joy to talk to!
