For many of us video games have always been part of our lives. I remember as a kid playing my first video game (pong) on the Atari. As I got older I had almost every console that came out (thanks Mom & Dad!) and each of them was awesome. But it wasn’t the console itself that made them great, it was the games. One of the premiere game development companies in the market today is Activision.
During the event representatives from Activision discussed the importance of setting passwords on the consoles to limit what can be purchased as well as who can friend your child during online play. If you are an adult gamer like me with small children, you may have never had a reason to limit who can friend your profiles. During the event they really brought it into perspective just how easily someone could work their way into your home and your child’s life through online multiplayer games.
One of the event highlights (at least for me!)was that the beautiful Mrs. Korie Robertson of Duck Dynasty made a guest appearance to talk about the importance of limiting excessive game play and how her family turns game time into family time! Mrs. Robertson also answered questions sent in from Twitter live during the event. November 8th is also little Wills birthday so he was there too making a guest appearance! Happy Birthday Will!
Activision also reviewed some of the upcoming family titles that are available and will be available. My favorite is obviously Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles but your may be Angry Birds Star Wars, Skylanders or Spongebob! Mrs. Robertson also let us all know that we will be seeing a Duck Dynasty game coming in late 2014! Whatever your favorite is I’m sure you will not be disappointed. I can’t wait until the next time I get to hang out with the Activision team & of course the characters!
