10 Cars That Have a Cult Following to This Very Day

December 4, 2024 Rachel Ferrucci

Car manufacturers continuously look to improve their models. New models are introduced yearly, but certain ones have become cult favorites. Many assume these favorites include cars like the Porsche 911 or the Lamborghini Countach. However, often, they’re just average passenger vehicles that people fall in love with. What are some popular models with drivers that have developed a cult following over the years?

The WRX By Subaru

Subaru is known for its safety features, but the WRX is a vehicle that has things in common with rally championships. WRX stands for World Rally Experimental. This model was one of the first to qualify as a pocket rocket with its turbochargers and all-wheel drive. In 1992, Subaru launched the street version of the sports sedan in Japan. It was known as the Subaru Impreza WRX but was unavailable in the United States until 2002. When Americans could buy this car, they quickly fell in love, and it became an instant classic. Drivers love this vehicle’s power-to-weight ratio and ability to hug the road. They can customize their ride, and a robust aftermarket for performance pieces exists. Hopefully, drivers can find one to buy when they visit axio auto.

Chevy Corvette

Chevy first launched the Corvette in 1953, and this car has developed a cult following over the years. People call it America’s sports car because it is so well known. This model offers distinct styling, incredible performance, and an affordable price compared to European sports cars. The Corvette is a capable machine with impressive horsepower and acceleration. Its top speed hovers around 200 mph. This car is so popular that it has appeared in multiple films.

Civic Si

Who knew an average sedan that people drive daily would develop a cult following? The Honda Civic S has done precisely this. Si stands for sport-injected, and drivers love how this car performs on the open road. This front-wheel-drive model has a 6-speed manual transmission and a 200-horsepower Civic turbocharged 1.5 L engine. It offers an exciting and responsive ride, which drivers appreciate.

Toyota FJ Cruiser

The Toyota FJ Cruiser had a limited production run in America. This vehicle took many features from the classic FJ-40 Land Cruiser and was sold in the United States from 2006 to 2014. The unique and fun styling allowed this vehicle to stand out in the crowd, and drivers loved that they could go off-road in this machine with no problem. This vehicle remains in demand today because it is a reliable machine that can handle technical terrain without problems. It had a unique look when launched, thanks to its eye-catching colors and contrasting roof. Ford has taken note of its popularity and uses similar styling in its Bronco. Drivers could modify this vehicle to make their ride their own. Today, Toyota is offering the Land Cruiser again, which is similar in many ways to the FJ.

MX-5 Miata

When Mazda launched the Miata in 1989, people took notice of this machine, and they still love the MX-5 Miata today. This vehicle has a four-cylinder 181 horsepower engine and a 6-speed manual transmission. Drivers have more control over the car with this transmission or can upgrade to an automatic version. The Miata comes in cloth-top convertible versions and retractable hard-top versions. However, drivers may find this is not a daily vehicle because it has little trunk space and limited headroom.

The Beetle or Bug

If one car could be considered an icon, it would be the Volkswagen Beetle. Its unique styling, bugged-out eyes, and front end that appear to be smiling make this vehicle stand out wherever it goes. Volkswagen first began offering this car in 1949, and it immediately attracted attention thanks to its small size. Most vehicles were huge at that time. Drivers quickly fell in love with the reliable performance, and this vehicle continued to sell at astounding rates until the late 1960s. From 1979 to 1997, Volkswagen chose not to manufacture these vehicles in the United States, but people continued to clamor for them. They would buy used and restored versions to say they owned this fantastic car. In 1999, the company relaunched the beetle in America and continued to sell it until 2019.

Nissan Z

The Nissan Z lineup of cars has earned its place in American history. These agile cars are visually appealing and go incredibly fast. They started as a Datsun vehicle and have gone through several iterations over the years. However, all Nissan vehicles combine classic and modern looks with incredible performance. Drivers feel like they are powering a race car thanks to their outstanding power and agile handling. In addition, thanks to the many customization options, drivers can make the ride their own.

Ford Bronco

The Ford Bronco is considered a utility vehicle, but it has loyal fans who refuse to drive anything else. Thanks to the recent revival of this model, more drivers are now flocking to Ford to call on their own. When the Bronco launched in 1966, it was both compact and maneuverable. However, it could also go anywhere a driver needed to go. Ford discontinued this model in 1996, and drivers told the company they were unhappy with this decision. The company brought this model back in 2021 and offers two- and four-door versions. Drivers may choose a manual transmission or upgrade to a special off-roading package.  They may also select a removable roof to have the benefits of an SUV with the feel of a convertible.

Tesla

Who wouldn’t love to own a Tesla today? People who own this model rave about how amazing it is. They credit this brand for popularizing battery electric vehicles when the first model launched in 2011. In 2023, Tesla’s Model Y beat Toyota’s RAV4 and Corolla in global sales. Tesla continues with its innovations, increasing the battery range of its models and offering a solid charging infrastructure. Drivers love futuristic digital controls and emission-free electric motors.

Volkswagen GTI

Volkswagen is the only company on this list with two vehicles that have developed a cult following. The Volkswagen GTI may look unappealing on the outside, but it is a fantastic car under the hood. Drivers love having a practical and fun ride in a compact package. The interior is surprisingly large, and drivers may choose from several options. For example, they may select a six-speed manual or seven-speed automatic transmission with the turbocharged 241 horsepower engine.

Drivers may argue that other vehicles should appear on the list. Every person has preferences regarding the car they drive every day. However, only specific models have developed a cult following, and people want to own one of these vehicles. The ten listed here remain popular because they have appealing features that drivers love.

Why did no one warn us that menopause would turn our bodies into a crime scene… Dryness. Pain. Sneezing roulette. UTIs showing up uninvited. And doctors smiling politely and saying, “That’s just aging.” Cool. Love that for us.

Say Hello to Silky Peach Cream 🍑 A bioidentical estriol cream that works locally to rebuild thinning tissue, restore moisture, and bring back comfort where it actually matters. Not a Band-Aid. Not a $350 prescription. Not a lube that disappears by lunchtime.

Estriol is the gentlest form of estrogen our bodies naturally make, and Silky Peach Cream puts it back exactly where menopause took it away. Over time, tissue rebuilds, moisture returns, and suddenly intimacy doesn’t feel like sandpaper and regret.

Two pumps nightly. Then maintenance. Because it took years to get this dry… it’s okay if it takes a little time to feel normal again.

I’m done whispering about menopause. I got my life back. And my peach is happy again!

I didn’t expect this to be the hardest part of getting older.

If sex hurts. If you avoid intimacy. If you dread wiping.

It’s not “just dryness.” It’s estrogen loss. And yes, it’s fixable.

Menopause doesn’t ease in quietly. It shows up hot, uncomfortable, and disruptive. And for way too long, women are told to whisper about it or accept it as “just aging.” I’m done with that.

Silky Peach Cream helped restore moisture, rebuild thinning tissue, and bring back comfort where menopause took it away. Not a quick fix. Not a Band-Aid. Just real, gradual relief that made me feel like myself again.

Two pumps. Some patience. And a lot less suffering.

Stop whispering about menopause. You deserve relief. You deserve joy. Your peach deserves to be happy again.

Get the details and try it for yourself at the link in my bio.

When I found out I needed surgery, my 1st thought wasn’t the procedure. It was the fear of being handed opioids again with no real choice. After my last surgery, opioids were the only option I had, my insurance didn’t cover the non-opioid alternatives I specifically asked for. That showed me how quickly exposure can happen. Many people don’t realize that about 1 in 10 patients who receive opioids after surgery will struggle with long-term use. That’s nearly 4 million people per year. It’s no secret that opioids can lead to addiction, & we should be much louder about the fact that there are non opioid options that can be used during surgery to manage pain afterwards.
Medicare already recognizes this & separately reimburses for FDA-approved non-opioid pain treatments, proving these options are real & available. Yet insurance barriers often make them difficult or impossible to access. Instead of making decisions about my recovery with my doctor, insurance policy made them for me. As I prepare for my next surgery, I want access to every option that reduces my exposure. I know how easily things can escalate. I’ve seen opioid use continue far longer than intended. It can tear apart families before anyone realizes what’s happening. What starts as short-term pain management after surgery becomes something no one ever expected, simply because safer options were never offered. It’s frustrating that some major insurers still haven’t expanded coverage the way Medicare has. #UnitedHealthcare is one of the companies whose restrictions make it harder to access FDA-approved non-opioid surgical pain options. Because of their size, these decisions affect millions. Surgery shouldn’t be a gateway to opioid addiction. Medicare covers these options. UnitedHealthcare & others need to do the same so patients aren’t pushed toward opioids by outdated policies. Patients & families deserve better.
