I hear many say that a spa is too expensive. When you shop for a product you expect value in return. A spa day can pay for itself and then some if you think about the benefits. Right before the rush of the holidays you should take the time and strengthen your mind, body, and soul! You need to check off everything on your fall beauty list including a spa appointment. Here are 5 reasons to go to the spa before the holidays and how a spa can improve your health.
-
Reduces stress and boost your immunity
– Getting a massage reduces stress (stress hormone cortisol) which in turn lowers blood pressure and heart rate. As you begin to relax your immune system gets a boost and this can benefit those fall bugs that haunt us. There are some spas that offer reflexology, this is an added bonus because it can help with migraines and other issues. The massage itself will soften those knots and help with aches and pains.
-
Mood changer, including PMS
– Massage can help reduce PMS systems such as; bloating, headache, back ache, and cramps. Relief from those symptoms can change your mood immediately.
-
Spend time with friends
– I love going to the spa with my bestie or my daughters. It’s time we get to spend together and talk without any interruptions and the ambiance of the spa always seem to put us in a creative mood. When it’s right before the holiday is gives us a clear path of how to tackle the holiday without going insane.
-
Inspiring
– A day at the spa will rejuvenate your mind and soul. When you pamper yourself with luxury it gives our self-esteem a boost which in turn helps in our every day life to have success. When you feel inspired you feel like you can take on the world.
-
Beautify
– We all want to look our best and we use many products to get the results we want. A spa day can give us natural beauty. We feel better, younger, and refreshed! It stimulates our circulation, lowers blood pressure, and makes our skin have a natural glow.
With so many benefits from a massage at the spa, a visit needs to be at the top of our list. I prefer a day spa so I can also enjoy their pool, sauna, and the relaxation room. You should keep your day open so you’re not leaving the spa and throwing yourself into a project. When you get home plan on making yourself a cup of tea and read your favorite book. If the kids are home, plan a craft that you can all do together or watch a family movie.
What is your favorite thing about going to the spa? When was the last time you went?
